Lately, korang perasan tak... yg inbox email korang berlambak-lambak masuk email-email yg tak di kenali... pastu topic dia pon lebih kurang sama... regarding menang loteri laa... konon-konon email korang bertuah laa... terpilih dlm dunia nie dpt ganjaran wang besar plk tue!

Ni aku nak share sikit... Sebelum nie, aku dah biasa dpt email-email mengarut nie dlm email aku... One day, aku terkejut jugaks... Dpt email dari nokia ckp aku terpilih laa konon-nye... Kira aku ni termasuk dlm 50 org yg bertuah dapat 'Nokia N Series end year promotion'... Aku tersangat laa peliknyee.. Sebab dia guna atas nama Nokia punye company... Mcm real pon ade gaks laa... Mana tak nyee.. Menggunakan atas nama big company... Sebelum nie spam email nie tak pernah relate menggunakan big-big company...Tapi aku rasa mcm tak yakin sebab dia still nak kita sertakan profile peribadi kita.. termasuk bank account number... So, dah sah-sah laa aku takkan bagi punya kan... Aku tergerak hati nk search owner yg send email nie... Dia gunakan nama Mrs Darryn Clarke... So, means if dia one of the important person kat Nokia Company tu... of coz laa nama dia ada jerk kan if search under that company... Then, aku saje jer laa 'type in' nama Mrs Darryn Clarke tue kat 'Yahoo Search Engine'... tetiba totally kluar byk giler comment regarding her name... Memang email penipu besar...  Memang scam... If korang bagi peribadi detail korang... dia boley 'manipulate' detail-detail tu utk kegunaan mereka... Jgn terkejut la if one day duit bank korang boleh jadi RM0.00 oleh kerana kecuaian korang dlm  memberi detail-detail 'private and confidential' ini... Nasib baik aku tak terpedaya... Igt korang... beringat sebelum kena...

Back in the 1980s (for this is nothing new!) the main vehicle for this scam were fax machines.

The victims are promised a fortune for providing a bank account to transfer the money to. Then - if they fall for the scam - they are made to part with thousands and sometimes hundreds of thousands of dollars in "bribes" for local officials or other "fees" (taxes, insurance, legal fees, etc) before the "partners" finally disappear without trace. Here are some typical examples of advance fee demands. In almost all cases, the criminals receive money using Western Union and MoneyGram, instant wire transfer services with which the recipient can't be traced once the money has been picked up.

Sometimes fraudulent cashier's checks are issued to the victims, who are asked to wire funds for various charges after the bank says funds are "available" from the check, but before the check has actually cleared.
